The Techbed Maxi
The Techbed Maxi is the largest of our Techbed portfolio, made from the same quality UK-sourced chenille fabrics that we use for our larger beanbags. Measuring 32cm × 32cm × 40cm, it provides extra room and support for larger devices, with a little more space around them.
The Maxi is designed for large tablets up to 14.6", including the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which we have tested successfully in both portrait and landscape. It can also be used with iPads, eReaders, large books and paperbacks.
But we've discovered something else along the way. The Techbed Maxi is particularly popular with older generations, who often appreciate the extra space that the Maxi provides. Sometimes that little bit of extra room makes all the difference.
Because the Techbed Maxi is made using the same soft, quality chenille as our larger beanbags, we don't compromise quality for quantity. It's designed to be useful, comfortable and substantial rather than simply being a bigger version of the Techbed.
We've also discovered plenty of other uses. The Maxi can provide support for an arm or leg, work as a soft pillow, and apparently our pets think they're rather good places to sleep too — the fabric and filling generate a little bit of warmth. :-)
Every day is a learning day.
The Techbed Maxi is handmade by Edge Beanbags in our home workshop in Wollaton, Nottingham, UK.
Looking for something smaller? The Techbed Mini is our compact option for smartphones, smaller tablets and eReaders up to 8", while the Techbed is designed for tablets, eReaders and books up to 10.9".
Between the three sizes, there's a Techbed for most devices — and plenty of other uses too.
If you have any questions, or there's anything we can help with, please do just drop us a note. We're always happy to help.
A little Techbed Maxi story...
We once took a bag of Techbed Maxis into the Apple Store in Reading and asked if we could photograph a 12.9" iPad Pro on one of our Maxis.
We don't think the Apple team had received quite the same request before!
They were, however, ever so helpful and let us get on with it. ;-)
